Early on in the pandemic, he did some virtual concert covering Nirvana songs. I watched a little bit of it, he killed the Francis Farmer song.

Commence 'happy face'.
TOO MUCH, TOO MUCH!
For some reason that commercial always gave me a chuckle.

Imagine for $100 you could have gone to all those shows in 2 weeks time.
If I gotta pick one I'm going to Brubeck no question. But the Who, Santana, War, Butterfield, Tower of Power .... damn

This is like a time capsule of the 1950s. The fear of atomic annihilation, fire and brimstone preaching, and classic country. Enjoyable.

Posty is actually pretty talented. Weirdo, but pretty good. And not really a gangster rap kinda influence. Just a goofy dude

Remember the old FenslerFilms GI Joe PSAs from the early 2000s that were on Ebaums World? I never realized until today that the "I just want to ride my motorcycle" guy is actually reciting lyrics from an Arlo Guthrie tune.

Lindsay Lou was a guest receiver of psychedelic transmission during one of the Billy strings show. She seemed really cool. Put on her Southland album and it's great. Check her out. Folksy

But it's probably coincidence. These things just sort of happen accidentally.

I saw No Doubt at the KROQ Weenie Roast in 2000, and they absolutely slayed.

I wasn't a huge No Doubt fan, but I was really into ska back in those days. Mighty Mighty Bosstones, The Toasters, Skatalites played near by us around then. Good times.
Anyone else like Fishbone? Man, they were so good live.

Save Ferris was another fun live act; saw them at an Earth Day festival that had basically 500 people in the crowd, so that was fun.
Was never really my kind of music to just sit back and listen to, but seeing those bands live was pretty much always a guaranteed fun time.

On a random note, I'm friends with Ralph Molina (Crazy Horse drummer, I know you know that) on FB. Super nice guy. Have had a couple of cool back and forths with him.

That was a cool interview. I'm surprised that more of that generation hasn't retired due to arthritis problems to be honest.
And that new live album is really good. Imagine seeing Weld in an 800 seat theater...

Been on A Harry Chapin kick lately.
My friend used to play this coming down Interstate 84 into Scranton every time we'd road trip home from Connecticut.
