I read an article about JAB/MW and that advertising stopped because they had completely diluted the value of the brand by selling suits by the dozen like that.

mikey, you still carrying around canvas sacks of fresh fruit everywhere?

No canvas sacks...but yeah, still hard fruits and veggies. Not 100% now, mixing in some oatmeal or even a cup of pasta like I had today and even a "real" lunch every once in a while if I was out drinking the night before...but yeah, 8 or 9 out of 10 of my work meals are fruits and veggies...feelin good.

Source of the post Accessories. I cannot recommend the ratcheting belts from Anson Belt & Buckle (https://ansonbelt.com/) highly enough.
When you mentioned this in August I passed the link along to my wife. She saved it and got me a $100 gift card for my b-day. So now I'll pass the time in my cube selecting some pieces, should kill some time.
So, I got these for Christmas 2016 and about 18-20 months later they're starting to wear out. At times while sitting or bending they'll start to slip out.

That said, I wear them a lot. Like, every day and even on the weekends when doing yardwork and stuff. The two black ones have been doing the heavy lifting and the brown one still looks new as I only wear it once every two weeks or so.

I would still recommend them. Going to poke around their site and see if they have anything new worth picking up when I order the two replacement belt straps. The buckles themselves are fine.

I haven't worn out any of mine yet, although my black dress strap maybe slips a a notch every now and then. That would be the one I wear the most (3x per week minimum). The buckles are all fine. The only downside I've identified is that I cannot pass through a metal detector without setting it off. I've taken off literally every other piece of metal, and the buckle is enough by itself. I'm guessing it might be the magnet in the buckle. It's a minor quibble.

No vests, unless it's part of a fine ass suit...

I do sweaters, my sweater game isn't bad...but I never really got into the sweater vest or those giant life jacket things that some people wear...

I think in isolated occasions, the sweater vest is appropriate. Christmas morning, for example.

There was a guy at my company that would wear a sweater vest at any time during the year. Even during summer.

looking to get a new pair of dress shoes. i have had a pair of allen edmonds shoes for about 6 years that is standing the test of time. i usually buy ecco shoes but they look tattered and worn after a year. i will likely be looking at allen edmonds again based on the longevity and quality. i was at nordstrom and tried on to boot new york and magnanni. i am struggling to see why i shouldnt go with AE? especially with the ease of resoling AE shoes. some of the magnanni are very elegant looking but the AE brand is hard for me to say no to

sweater vest is not a good look.
this gentleman does not own a sweater vest. HOWEVA, if a gentleman were to wear a sweater vest, it has to be part of what would be a very considered and excessively managed overall look that nonetheless convincingly projects insouciance at a casual glance
