Has anyone ever done the Peloton strength workouts regularly? I've been doing the 30 minute ones with dumbbells and a simple weight bench and they're a solid workout imo. Definitely a solid pump--I like Logan and Ben especially so far.

I've had a really hard time ever sticking with a strength regiment, but my obsession with electronic stats/streaks is helping me keep at this one

I stick mainly to the calendar created by Hardcore On The Floor Facebook group. I bought a Peloton Guide off of eBay and have been doing longer strength workouts using it on Wednesdays.
I also did the Beginner Strength program last year. I liked it except being forced to do the same warmup class every single day.
I hear that the Split Strength programs are really good as well. I haven't done any of those yet.

We've done both of Emma's crush your core's and those are a good and hard workout. We've also done one of the strength programs with Olivia and Matty and that was also very good.

I've signed up for HotF but haven't started yet. A friend of mine is trying to shame me for not doing any strength training right now but I'm just annoyingly busy in life. It's a miracle I'm even doing cardio.

I did my first ride since finding out about my vocal cord stuff. ****. Even a simple 3 mile ride is brutal, and the feeling afterward is even worse. I feel awful. Even just a month ago, a ride of 6-7 miles wasn't anything terrible. Like I felt it, but it wasn't anything that I couldn't handle.

I did some reading afterwards and found there is some form of treatment for exercise-induced VCD.

It took 19 seasons but I finally got my first ref injury tonite. Late in the game as I start to run down court, I get this feeling like someone took the butt end of a baseball bat and gouged me in the calf. I even turned around to look to see who did it. Nobody was there. I only had to endure one trip down the court since there was 30 seconds left in the game but I'm sure I looked pretty pathetic trying to hobble my way there. Probably just a pulled calf muscle and I'll find out the degree of pull in the morning. Either way, it probably ends my season since this was the last week of the regular season and I'm not on any playoff rosters.

Au contraire, that’s just this year. I’ve done a number of district playoffs, one district championship (which was an awesome game), and 2 regional playoff games (both blah). Work used to get in the way because Phoenix fell right in that bad spot.

About a month into doing the Peloton strength workouts, definitely noticing some nice changes in my upper body, still subtle but noticeable. The dumbbell workouts can be pretty damn intense over 30 min. I am up about ten pounds since the new year which is by design, trying to bulk up another 10-15 and then cut.

On another note, I decided to break out the ab wheel and forgot how much of a torture device that thing is. My core still hurts 72 hours later  Great workout though.

I went to the actual gym for the first time in forever yesterday and ran on the treadmill. Oh boy...my body did not like that. Also did some weights. Super sore today.

Still enjoying the Peloton strength training, shaf? I've cleared out my gym (everywhere but the Peloton area had accumulated stray boxes and random stuff over the winter) and should start strength training soon.

When I fully recover I'll show you on the doll where the FTP test hurt me today.

I started the test at my old avg output and just dragged it up from there. It is the first time I ever stopped pedaling exactly at 0:00.

Avg Output was 261.
I set a new PR for a 30 minute ride today. The average output was 261. The same as my last FTP except now instead of 20 minutes I sustained it for 30. The old record was 255.

I'm dead, Jim.

I really am, but I've realized that I desperately need to build a set of different dumbbells. I've been using the adjustable ones you can add/remove weights too and it's a colossal PITA trying to quickly change them before the next set.

I've heard great things about the Amazon brand ones, actually.

Nice. I think I am going to start next week. Trying to talk myself into it by living vicariously through you.

Does anyone use Highmark BCBS website. The new website is absolute dog poop. I would use it to literally download claim details for FSA reimbursement and that's gone. The only other thing was a gateway to express scripts and now that too is gone.

This Friday I get to run on a treadmill with a scope going up my nose and down my throat.

Ask me how much I am going to enjoy that.

I just took the Olivia Climb ride that was posted this week. The ride was very difficult. But beyond that, in the middle of the ride Olivia mentioned she didn't want to ride today because her dog is sick at the vet. During the last minute she screamed, then cried with her head down during the cool down stretch. It was really sad. It made me cry myself. (We're thinking about putting our dog down and it caught me in a moment of quiet exhaustion.)

I found the express scripts gateway it's like 7 clicks deep. But, no claim details. Luckily my wife's employer will accept screen grabs of the claim details. But what a PITA.
