Can you imagine the roller coaster ride of being a Jets fan on week 1?

I feel bad for Wilson. Your own team doesn't even want you seeing game time and you got to go in there and start.

I feel like it should be a bummer when a player of GOAT-adjacent statue goes out (likely?) permanently with a catastrophic injury. But he's such a colossal dick that I just feel sorta ho hum.

Love to invent a sentiment and mock people for having it.

First statement is completely made up.

And maybe Steelers’ fans are happy to see a team they are competing with for a playoff spot lose their quarterback.

I'm split. It's a little sad in the grand scheme because his career is likely over and the Jets were at least coming out to be a somewhat exciting team to watch

but also Rodgers is a narcissistic shitbag who hasn't really been a HoF type player in years and there's a little bit of unintentional comedy to it; like from a scene from Not Another Teen Movie

It's been talked about at length here a number of times that there are only 8 to 12 legitimate QBs worth a damn in the league. It's been commented in disbelief because every American kid grows in their backyard saying that they're throwing the game winning pass in the Super Bowl...but yet only a couple pan out.

So, I guess to turn the gun back on you, where it belongs...

I hate when careers end on injuries like that, regardless of the athlete in question.

I'd rather he had played this year and sucked out loud, ending his career hounded by the New York media.

This is a fine enough consolation prize, though.

I'm with MIMH here. I was excited to see what the Jets could do. I'd disagree on his on field acumen though, I was excited to see what Rogers could do just 24 months removed from back to back MVP seasons. It made them a very interesting story line to follow this year.

Personally though, before sociopolitical issues came up, he was already wearing the narcissist badge a bit prouder than other professional athletes. The will he/won't he retire bit, the tantrum over the Love pick, turning into exactly what his nemesis in Favre was, the weird level of detachment from friends and family. COVID and the aftermath just exacerbated those things.

So on an A-Aron centric level, it's a harsh sport and he's a 40 year old bag of *** so I'm not going to shed a tear. As a fan, it's a shame the Jets' storyline is altered and that we have to watch Zach Wilson 5 more times in Primetime.

If you want to feel sad for someone, how about JK Dobbins, in his prime, instead of the very end of a long career.
