lol Mason warming up in garbage time. As always, decisions are made too late.
Gotta make the media narrative into a QB controversy as a distraction

Think back to Troy's HOF speech. I can't think of one person that fits that mold.

That embed loaded for me immediately. Warren would have had a 20 yard run at minimum with that blocking. The Steelers organization has never read about the sunk cost fallacy, apparently.

While down 11 late in the third quarter, and in Colts territory, Mike Tomlin opted to punt rather than kick a long field goal with Chris Boswell. When asked about this, Tomlin had this to say.

“Not a lot had gone in our way to that juncture that made me feel good about banging a 57 yard field goal,” Tomlin said. “Particularly on the down before I thought we might take a shot or check it down and we end up throwing the ball out of bounds. So I didn’t like that field position.”

Boswell made a 56 yard field goal last week in Acrisure Stadium, and has only missed two field goals on the season.
The man is a god damn moron.

He’s gotta go IMO. The team is bad and it’s made worse by a coach who is stuck in the past.

Their 7-4 record was fraudulent. They were never that good. Baltimore and Cleveland handed them games earlier in the year. They probably should have lost to GB too.

The luck they had in close games was never sustainable. An at or near .500 team is who they are.

No inside linebackers and no safeties, imo, are a somewhat valid excuse

But I can’t get over the idea of 30 unanswered from the colts.

I'm told they're in the top 9 of teams, tho.

Injuries at the positions where they were both weak and thin.

Qb, ILB, safety

The state of Pittsburgh sports is bad and worsening.

Steelers and pirates in similar positions, retool/rebuilds getting derailed. Penguins delayed the inevitable and might be stuck trying to get Pennys in the dollar with their assets

So you (as Art Rooney) kick Tomlin upstairs, because he's still under contract. Special Assistant to the President or some other such nebulous title. Keep him sidelined for another year. Maybe even trade him to the Panthers or whatever. They aren't going to fire him like other franchises fire coaches. But it's clear that Tomlin has lost the plot in how modern NFL franchises are run (to be successful).

Who would you bring in? Flores? Reich?

I’m ready for the Pittsburgh sports dark ages. These teams gave us many years of competitive seasons and championships (well, the Steelers and Penguins did anyway). Both of them need to just give into the rebuilds and be okay with being bottom of the barrel for a few years.
