This thread will basically be my gfycat thread. Also, I love HD gfy's... but does the forum shrink the gfycat until it's played for anyone else?

I'll happily take tying Switzerland (ranked 12th in Fifa, though those rankings don't mean a whole lot) in their country with many backups starting... & even leading until a red card forced the team on the defensive for the last 3rd of the game. Gutsy performance.

I irrationally dislike Bradley, though.

That's why I asked for it at the other board (& unfortunately never got it)... I love gfycat (and other ones like streamable, the new .gifv at imgur, etc). Will be posting a lot of them during the weekends.

Such a sweet strike of the ball. (For those who don't play, this is really hard to do... but incredibly satisfying if you hit the ball just right.)

Not only is the Qatari government killing scores of (let’s not mince words) slaves in order to build the infrastructure necessary to host the 2022 World Cup, it also forced a bunch of them to participate in a state-sponsored “megamarathon” in an attempt to set a dopey Guinness World Record. Many of the laborers were reportedly forced to run while wearing jeans and flip-flops, or no shoes at all.
I know it's been talked about a lot, but I would love to see the United States boycott the 2022 WC. The earlier, the better, because maybe other nations would join in. FIFA is sickening.

That's gross.

Someone scored a goal like that for Barça in a UCL match a few years ago (Alves? Abidal?), touched the ball like three or four times to himself like that then POOM. I was like, "That looks really hard", and my soccer playing buddy just laughed and shook his head.

I've really wanted to get into MLS more than I have, which shouldn't be tough since I'm pretty much right between DC and Philly but I just can't seem to get into either of those teams. I debated jumping on with one of the expansions but Orlando is purple so thats out and New York is Man City lite so meh. Maybe this new Minnesota team will be promising.

Incredibly fun match tonight. Very aggressive tactics by both sides, despite it only being a 1-0 game. I'm finding I enjoy watching MLS more than NHL now... not meaning to compare. That's just a MASSIVE change for me, as I couldn't really stand to watch MLS before unless it was a big game or Seattle.

TEIB, I'd try Sporting KC, Seattle, or Portland. Those teams have some great fans & make the game fun to watch even if it's a semi-dull one.

He's stalling on signing a new contract. I think they've offered him £100k a week and he has said he wants to wait until the summer before making a decision.

Rumours are that other clubs are interested; the usual suspects of Man City but also Barcelona I think.
