creepiest thing I'll read/hear today and I'm a big fan of the actor. Days of Thunder is one of the few movies that I can watch a couple times a week.

He has made some of my favorite films, but he is a creep.

He got that from time spent around fighter pilots making that stupid navy movie.

I've actually heard from friends who work on the lot at Paramount that when he's walking through he sends an assistant or some other peon out a few minutes beforehand to warn people of His impending arrival, and that they are not supposed to look at him.

Contrast that with the story my one friend has. His sister worked at Paramount, and he went to meet her for lunch one day. She was a little late, so he went and sat on a bench outside her building to enjoy the afternoon sun. Guy came up and said, "Mind if I join you?" Francis Ford Coppola. They talked about wine for 10 minutes.

Seemed to be two different movies. And only one of them was good.

Yeah. Wasn't what I thought it would be and on top of that was pretty bleak. I'm not the target demo though (it's a kids movie, didn't realize that) so my frame of reference is skewed.

Six degrees of separation... I'm watching nightcrawler with Renee Russo and Jake gylenhaal. Just strange.

As most know, I love horror movies. My favorites are classic slasher movies but a close second is the killer animal subgenre. Recently there were not one but TWO killer bear movies released, much to my delight. I watched both this week.

Red Machine aka Grizzly - Fun, if far fetched and somewhat cheesy flick with a surprisingly decent cast. Would have benefited from a better screenplay and less (bad) CGI.

Backcountry - I thought this was terrific. It might be the best killer bear movie ever made. Good, likeable characters, not too far fetched, lots of tension. Highly recommend it for anyone into these kinds of flicks.

I've had Lords of Salem on my DVR for a while. Watching it now. It's about to earn the distinction of being one of the very few movies I've ever just shut off/walked out on.

I don't have the skillz to write a book. I have a weird obsession with horror subgenres. I'm pretty sure I've seen 99% of all of the killer animals movies made from 1970 on. Heck, I've even seen the unfinished work print of Grizzly 2 starring George Clooney!

Lords of Salem sucks. I mean, really sucks. I watched the whole thing but yeah, it's not worth your time.
