My client is WFH until August at the earliest. They're now saying Spring 2022 is more likely. Kinda sucks cause I'm in facilities management but the spaces still need upkeep regardless.

Do you get along?
Quite well, actually.Do you get along?
I think the rules are now you have to mock him and make fun of him ITT.Quite well, actually.Do you get along?
That's not how it works. You don't just get to go around mask less and such after you get the shot. Plus everyone is just getting dose 1...still gotta get a 2nd dose a few weeks later. So you lucky vaccine people. Can you go anywhere and do whatever you want for Christmas? If yes, I am EXTREMELY jealous.
The way this has been breaking, each COVID+ person can transmit to 2-3 people before they know they're sick. (That's a general number, not a hard-and-fast rule or anything) That means to get to herd immunity via vaccination, you'd have to vax between around 200 and maybe 250 million people in this country before mitigation practices - masks, social distancing, avoidance of congregate indoor gatherings of multiple 'pods', etc. - can be safely lifted. Earliest that's likely is summer. It's not a free pass to do stuff. So you lucky vaccine people. Can you go anywhere and do whatever you want for Christmas? If yes, I am EXTREMELY jealous.
Considering he's my only family in this city and my only sibling, I feel like I need to walk somewhat of a tightrope here. I certainly don't agree with this attitude. He's not only gone full bore on the anti-mask stuff, he's drifting well into the anti-vax camp, and I don't agree with that at all. At the same time, he's literally the only person I have to spend any of the holidays with.He deserves to be mocked for being a dingleberry. That doesn’t change because he’s family.
Oh, I don’t disagree with you at all here. I’m calling him a dingleberry so that you don’t have to. I'm ok with wearing my mask until everyone who wants the vaccine gets it. I've been wearing my mask for months for other people anyway, right? The way this has been breaking, each COVID+ person can transmit to 2-3 people before they know they're sick. It's not known if the vaccines prevent infection outright yet, just that they're 90+% effective at limiting symptoms to the 'mild' range if you do get it. It also isn't known yet if the vaccines can prevent a vaccinated person with a pre-symptomatic case from transmitting the disease. So you could be vaccinated, and still carry the disease and potentially be transmissible.
I'm also not sure how many (if any) people will have even had their booster ahead of Christmas.
