I happened to start watching Live to 100: Blue Zones on Netflix right before my mom passed away. I'd never heard of Dan Buettner or Blue Zones, but found the documentary fascinating and very topical given all that's been going on with my parents.
I wasn't a big fan of him inserting himself into it, but as I watched the four episodes, I realized he has been studying this for 20+ years, so it's very personal for him.
Anyway, he explores areas around the world that have high populations of centenarians. Is it diet? Climate? Culture? All of that varies, obviously, but I saw a lot of deficiencies in my parents' lives that led to their decline and early mortality (especially my mom, who was only 72).
Most of it could go in the health and fitness thread, but I'll put a couple of tidbits here. All of these groups of centenarians remained active - not working out in gyms, but doing little things like sitting on the ground and getting up and down throughout the day; planting small gardens that require some exertion of energy; walking instead of driving everywhere.
Being involved with your family and the community was a huge part of the longevity. Loneliness is such a huge issue in our society and there are direct links to it and mortality.
It was pretty eye opening, especially where I am mentally these days.

I remember my wife reading a book about this a while ago. Something about these berries these people ate. Also the amount of movement they had during the day, and living up in the higher altitudes.I happened to start watching Live to 100: Blue Zones on Netflix right before my mom passed away. We just watched a Pasta Grannies video with a 103-year old from south of Modena who walks 1 km every morning before harvesting her chicken's eggs. She uses them to make 4 eggs of fresh pasta every day.
I don't do that much now, and I'm literally half that age.![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Somehow I never knew that the tongue obsessed doctor Elaine dated was the original Danny Tanner. Never really considered Bob Saget a good actor until now...

Saget and Stamos were carpooling to work one day, and as they were in traffic outside the studio they saw a car accident. They both got out of the car and rushed up and found this woman unconscious. As she came to, she looked up........... and saw Danny and Uncle Jesse staring down on her.

There is going to be a Billions cinematic universe. Billions: Miami, Billions: London, Millions, and Trillions are the show names. Few details are known about OG cast members in these new shows.

That's... interesting. Not sure we needed four spinoffs.![😂](//cdn.jsdelivr.net/emojione/assets/svg/1f602.svg)

Billions was driven by the cast. Putting it in a copier and hitting print doesn't really work.

Foundation has been a great show, very much enjoying the 2nd season so far. The penultimate episode was awesome, can't wait for the finale.

I still have the finale for peaky blinders, but this has been a wild season. I'm a big fan of gypsy magic.
Foundation S2 was wonderful. I love that apple is basically the place for smart well done scifi now. It's fun watching the space battles there and then watching Disney plus star wars and seeing how much work they put in the CGI and story on apple.

British comedy-drama This Is Going To Hurt is very good. Not recommended if you're pregnant.

Yeah, this season definitely felt a bit more unwieldy plot-wise than the previous two. Maybe bit off a bit more than they could chew.
Speaking of Max renewals, I hope we get another season of Warrior. This season took a while to get going, but it was solid.

COVID had me working form in front of the TV, so I had Silo and Invasion on in the background. Silo was perfect for this, easy enough to follow along without needing to actually be paying attention 100%. Invasion was much harder as the multiple locales and languages needed the subtitles to keep up with it.

First time watching The Witcher. I’m enjoying it but the timelines, especially in season 1, were tough to sort out at first.

Good. We can get people to write the shows, now just need the actors to act in the to reach an agreement.

If I didn’t know any better, I’d say that was Roiland doing the voices. The replacements they found are insanely accurate. For whatever reason, Adult Swim is keeping their names a secret until the premiere. Hey, maybe it IS Roiland. Shame he turned out to be a real dadhole.

'Upload' S03 is finally being released on 10/20. I swear the show has been off the air for 18+ months.

I found all the original GI Joe American Hero episodes on Youtube and have been watching them. Boy does that bring back memories. Between GI Joe, HeMan and Transformers, that was my youth.
I tried to watch a few old HeMan episodes before, and I didn't think they held up at all. But to me, GI Joe has.
@eddy have you ever gone back to these?

I loved the old GI Joe and Transformers cartoons. I also loved M.A.S.K.:

Yeah, M.A.S.K. was great.
