68% of the offensive snaps yesterday, his lowest percentage of the season. This was actually disturbing to look at.

Diontae - 82%
Gentry - 74%
Pickens - 68%
Muth - 55%
Sims - 38%

What the **** is going on in this offense?

he's fine, I think he's clearly not a bust. next step is determining if he can be a franchise guy or if he's just a plug for a few years til they find a franchise guy. it's been nice seeing a rookie improve weekly
I think it's like the Giants situation with Daniel Jones, but better. Pickett is better than Jones and they are clearly going to be at least competitive sooner.

I haven't watched a ton, but it does look like the O-line is playing better. They have been able to run the ball the past couple games. They do have way less cap space next year than I thought, but I think they can free up a ton with some restructuring (Watt/Heyward) and cuts (Mitch, DJ?).

I honestly don't understand why they tried to force feed DJ yesterday. I don't know why they don't work on Pickens - but I didn't see enough of Pickens yesterday, so maybe Atlanta actually treated him like a WR1 and shut him out completely. Not sure.

Gentry more than muth? Is that normal? It seems wrong but I guess if he's being asked to block a lot maybe it's normal?

Not normal. Highest percentage he's had all season. Had to be grinding out the run related.

it's almost like DJ was more open because they were taking away Pickens.

classic yinzers this weekend though complaining that they didn't feed Pickens and would be crying over Kenny throwing into double coverage if he forced it

It's also a product of a rookie QB throwing an ass load of INTs in his first few games so now he's much more careful with the ball (and hasn't thrown an INT since the Eagles game). He might be a tad too gun shy. He's not just going to chuck it downfield and hope for the best.

Well, yea. But that doesn't mean Pickens can catch everything like he thinks, if he's being blanketed more than normal.

Which makes his hissy fit even worse, imo.

This is being super overblown. It wasn't even a hissy fit. It was a 21 year old athlete who is used to being the best on the field being frustrated that he wasn't the best on the field. The camera caught him mouthing "throw me the **** ball" once. And then he went and sat down with a coach. He didn't yell at teammates, he didn't kick the gatorade, he didn't throw furniture off of a balcony, he was just frustrated. And he should have been frustrated.

Yinzers have been hoping every wr for the past 7 years will be the next AB for whatever reason so any sign of unhappiness and they are on the verge of losing their minds and being a diva

nocera gets it.

Dude has been practicing all week amped up to play in front of his home crowd, family and friends, all that. And when gameday comes he barely sees the field in the first half and when he does get out there they throw it to No Hands No Contact Johnson who seems to be actively working against the offense. He dares to show some restrained emotion at the end of a particularly bad sequence and when he doesn't want to talk to some blogger about it after the game he's AB2.

Woof.

I'm going off of what I read yesterday, that it was the only instance caught on camera - but apparently he was throwing his hands in the air, throwing and kicking his helmet.

From what I understood it was entire mid to late game affair.

lol I don't think this guy is the next AB at all - I'm more or less hoping someone just talks to him and says to cool it when things don't go his way.

I'm not asking for him to be benched, killed, or anything - a simple "hey man, chill out."

Great WR's think they are open every play and always want the ball. Pickens wants the ball all the time because he knows he can go up and get it. You want that arrogance and confidence in your pass catchers.

Sure, I want that absolutely, I don't want it to be a distraction in a young WR, where he loses focus on the game and starts focusing on not getting the ball.

There's a fine line - but it's one game, it doesn't really warrant any more discussion than that. It's most likely due to the game being in Atlanta and it's a second homecoming for him.

AB was also amaze-balls for over 5 years before his brain succumbed to CTE. Most people just have internet take brain and lose all sense of context before generating their stupid takes.

It's a pretty good indication that you are dumb if you think that AB's decline has anything to do with like WR, me-first attitude, the dude has completely lost control and is clearly suffering from things beyond selfishness.

If it becomes a trend, sure, let's be concerned. But one game where, like dodint pointed out, his family and friends were in attendance and he was personally hyped for? Nah, be frustrated at that performance all day. I called out his age for a reason. He's 21. Maybe he'll learn to control those emotions a bit more as he gets older and gains experience, but for what it's worth, I thought he already controlled them pretty well. Like I said, he wasn't going after teammates or throwing coolers.
