Hmph. Turns out a rookie QB, a god awful offensive play caller and receivers that roll over at first sign of resistance is a bad mixture.

All told, I’m actually more entertained by these games than I have been I several years. Ws and Ls mean little to me in NFL fandom. I want entertained and I have been.

Claypool is now what, the 10th offensive player to complain about play calling now? How is Canada employed?

Absolutely. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that the play calling is beyond atrocious

Nah let Canada do his thing this year, finish at the bottom of the league, and then rebuild.

This may be a repeat of the late 90's run of high draft picks. That was the beginning of the turnaround, with one more terrible season in 2003 to get us BR. If similar draft results can be had, I'd be fine with a 2-3 year hiatus from good football.

Problem is 90% of Steeler fans and the Rooney's would disagree

Seems like the fins had wide open receivers at times yesterday. Stillers never seemed to have them

I was texting a buddy that (much like Pitt) these other offenses seem to be able to get creative in scheming some guys open (or perhaps their WRs are all better), while the teams we watch are pretty vanilla and mostly just rely on their players to each beat their man straight up.

They don't do hardly any of those pick play slants. Canada's scheme doesn't really allow for anything middle of the field it seems, unless you're a TE.

If Najee is as hurt as he is, then he shouldn't be on the field, imo. If he's not hurt, he's dangerously close to bust territory.

Was looking at the Steelers draft history. Can we get a blind squirrel to pick us a CB in the next draft? Probably would do better than the last 25 years' worth of CB picks.

The Steelers held Miami to 16 total points and shut them out in the 2nd half. D has played well enough to win in 3 of the 5 Ls this season so far, and one of those other Ls was an absolute boat race s**t show all around against one of the best teams in the League.

Tomlin laid the loss at KFP’s feet.

I mean he threw 2 picks on the last two drives. He certainly shoulders alot of the blame as the QB.

If Mitch had done that....pitchforks would be out. He's a rookie and mistakes are expected but still gotta take your share of the blame.

Say what you want about Tomlin but he's a good motivator imo. I'm sure he has his finger on the pulse and knows what motivates Kenny. Plus, he's not totally wrong

Kenny played like **** and was one of the major reasons they lost. The difference is that I’m willing to allow Kenny to grow and make those mistakes, hopefully learning from them. I’m not willing to watch Mitch continue to make the same mistakes he’s made since 2017.

It’s so weird that if Kenny is the future and everyone knows it’s a rebuilding year, there are people super pissed at his mistakes and not allowing him to learn.

If the front office thinks he’s the future, love with the growing pains. I’ll worry when it’s his 10th game and he’s making the same mistakes as game 1-2.

Making mistakes is fine, expected. But producing NOTHING while making those mistakes is a tough pill.

Low risk no reward is mehhhhh.

Yeah, other than the couple times he used his feet to get a first down, I wasn't left with an impression that Pickett could play with the top half of the AFC.

Pickett was decidedly not good, but I think it's hard to judge any QB in an offense designed by a moron who is afraid of the middle of the field and limits the QB five yard throws. Blows my mind that this is the same dude who used to have designed plays for Pitt's LT. Nobody in this offense is being put in the best position to succeed.
