the catholic church sure is winning over hearts and minds in the city of brotherly love this week.Friend who works in Philly in the "secure zone" had an apple from his lunch confiscated this morning since it could become a projectile...and the Pope doesn't arrive until tomorrow.
someone "in the know" tells me all this extra security is actually due to all the foreign dignitaries in town. if it was only the pope, things wouldn't be like this.

That's what I keep telling myself. The background check company is hounding me about a reference from my current company. I provided them with one that is no longer with the company, but our time overlapped by two years or so. They asked me again for someone currently with my company.
