All the faith in the world in Denis Villeneuve's ability to movie the hell outta this, but Jodorowsky's Dune ruined me for any other cinematic expressions of the IP. It's better as a yarn about the movie he wanted to make than any actual movie could be.

Watched Dune again yesterday. Not that I'm just realizing it now, but Villeneuve can make a movie. the test is going to come from part two when it gets crazy. I'll be very interested to see how he tackles that. Lynch came closer than a lot of people give him credit for, but it sort of came apart in the 2nd half.

Going to see Dune at 1 today. I’m kind of glad it’s been a few years since I read the book. I’d rather just enjoy this movie than nitpick it to death bc it doesn’t follow the book for whatever reason.

It’s part of Warner Bros same-day premieres that are up for a month or so like Dune, Space Jam, Suicide Squad, etc. If it wasn’t for Covid it would’ve had a exclusive theatrical release.Why is it being taken off of HBO Max already? The Babysitter (Netflix) -- This was campy fun that reminded me of 80's horror. It didn't take itself seriously and was a lot of fun
Get Out -- Really Good
