Fauci is a lab rat. Putting him on stage and in front of a mic had disaster written all over it from day one. He is a bad communicator and choices his words very poorly. He has added to the confusion, and in turn added to vaccine hesitancy, because he is not concise or clear when speaking. We would be in a better spot if someone made him a one slide PowerPoint with 6 bullet points on it.

Those who carry his water will cite his tenure as a bureaucrat (which is…ya know…a trademark of bureaucrats in general) and his work with AIDS (which was many moons ago and not during the Twitter era).

The early mask hedging and then not even once openly and plainly defying trump while hundreds of thousands died under his watch (Fauci’s watch) disqualified him from being a qualified candidate going forward. But we must pay homage to his legacy prior to 2020, apparently.

Fauci is 80 **** years old. HE SHOULD WANT TO STOP WORKING. I'm 48 in a few weeks, and I would GLADLY **** retire if I could.

It very much feels like an RGB moment, where he says it's not true, but he definitely likes being in front of a camera.

They need someone up there who can be very matter of fact. Someone who isn't pontificating about potential impacts to holiday gatherings. And don't let them field smooth brained media questions. Or maybe any questions at all.

There is literally no downside to trying something new. This is basic operations strategy. You don’t take a losing approach and keep doing it, when a replacement costs you nothing and might actually be effective.

There are absolutely mush brains out there who would take Fauci’s removal as *permission* to go get vaxed. People who are kinda sorta into the idea but don’t want to give the libs the satisfaction are candidates. If replacing him saves one life - it’s worth it. So that’s why you do it.
