Was that really a gamble? Wasn't it like $16 million, including the posting fee, over 4 years? Even if he was just an average bench player over that time, he's worth the money.

I'd say it was a gamble to bring a player directly from the Korean league to Major League baseball. The money wasn't much, the gamble was locking an unknown to the 25 man roster.

As for throwing in the towel, sometimes you have to try and retool for the following year.

I was going to come in here and propose that it might be best to trade Walker before his lack of power hitting kills his trade value. Glad to see TL has already done that for me.

Yohe is now throwing the arrogant tag at the Pirates.
(Where have we heard that before from him? :pop: )

He's a clown.

4 games under with a +9 differential. 4.5 back from the WC I think.. I bit early to throw in the towel. Cutch and J-Hay are heating up and Ground Chuck is coming to push Worley into the 'pen. They're another 4 game win streak away from feeling pretty good about this team. Gonna have to play well this weekend with Snydergaard and Harvey coming up.

I can't stress enough that there are 122 **** games left. 122. They might go 80-42. They might go 30-92. 122 games ffs.

Talk to me when theres 80 left. Then ill start to worry

So someone at deadspin posted McCutchens paystub online(they blacked out bank info etc). Still a Pretty messed up thing to do. I'm not gonna link it here, but it's pretty easy to find.

The #1 takeaway for the normal joe from that is the INSANE tax laws in this country.

Yeah... Half of what was on that paycheck went to taxes and other things, but even so netting 430k almost for two weeks worth of work would be mighty nice haha. More power to the guy if he can make that hitting a baseball.

most earned runs in a game given up by Harvey in his career... and we're only in the 4th. Go Bucs!
