lol... no one is going to take your guns away. how's that? Sure there are some that want to, but it's not gonna happen. In fact I'd say you're more likely to have to use your gun in self defense than you're at risk of it being confiscated, and you're well aware of how little of a percent chance I personally think there is in you needing to use your gun.

So very sad.
He was "captured" when his plane was shot down in North Vietnam. His back was broken. What the Hell was he supposed to do? Because his dad was an admiral McCain was offered release a few years into captivity but refused. As a result he spent another 3 + years as a POW. I don't know how many people would have done that.
I mean it's sad that Trump gave Pence permission to answer. It was an incredibly emasculating scene.

And to clarify: Before he went guano loco about eight or nine years ago, John McCain was one of my favorite politicians. I was going to volunteer for his campaign in 2000 before he got Roved in South Carolina.

People who think Rambo can hold a firearm like that are the kind of people pushing gun control legislation. :pop:

Most don't know the difference between automatic and semi=automatic.

As Freddy so capably pointed out, you switched from "ban" to "confiscate." And you can't deny that active efforts are underway in the United States to ban guns, because in fact that is already happening in places like New York and California. And I see little difference between confiscation and a ban on possession of stuff that one already owns. If the government makes it illegal to buy, sell, and possess something, then the only way to continue to own it is to break the law. If you don't want to break the law, then you have to surrender it. The fact that Californians are expected to voluntarily hand in their magazines (under threat of committing a potential felony) does not make the law any less confiscatory.

Under your view, if I were to hold a gun to your head and then reach into your coat and take your wallet, I've "confiscated" your wallet. But if I hold a gun to you head and tell you to hand me your wallet or die, and you comply and hand it over, then I guess I haven't confiscated anything from you because you surrendered it voluntarily, right?

That was the logic used when gold was confiscated in 1933...it wasn't "stolen", we merely sold it to the government for less than market value...or else...

It would really make your argument look silly if you posted those two comments in the correct order, so i can see why you posted this the way you did.

Not following how putting them in that order would "make my argument look silly"

But there you go.

You still call the vertical posts on a soccer goal "goalposts".

The GOP makes it very hard to be a conservative (more fiscally than socially, mind you).

Finally, someone here, who is intellectually honest enough to admit that they are a Republican.
