Yeah, Tacoma FD is great and now that it's on Netflix I don't even have to skip through commercials anymore.

Did you enjoy Super Troopers? If not, this show probably isn't for you.

Yeah I liked super troopers a lot. Was there a lot of puking in that? 2 of the first 3 opening scenes have had animals puking on people's faces lol

The Sicario screenplay was heavily chopped and edited by Denis Villeneuve. Apparently he and and Benicio del Toro cut out about 90% of that character's dialogue.Started Mayor of Kingstown… I want to like it because it’s by the guy that wrote Sicario but man it really just feels like manly man jerk off fantasy stuff. It’s like there is a good show here but every time it gets close someone said, “man that up a bit, no ***** ****.” Maybe I’m just soft.
Edit: yep I’m out. Just had a scene of a kid getting buried and a character asking something about there not being a service or word. Other character responds, “nope, guess the atheists don’t want someone accidentally getting prayed over.” **** off.
Nebraska by Alexander Payne is another instance where like, 50% of the original screenplay is what you see. Directors have a ton of creative control (most of the time).

finally powered through the end of Manifest. not a bad ending but I feel like 3 or 4 of the final episodes weren't really necessary but I do respect them for going the full 20 episodes for the final season.

Agreed re: Manifest. Need Netflix to do some good for once and also give Warrior a final season. I still can't believe that show was cancelled. It makes no **** sense.

Good thing from how the film turned out. Sicario 2 was… messy but for sure started into way more of a fantasy land. The Sicario screenplay was heavily chopped and edited by Denis Villeneuve. Finished Loudemilk last night. Really hope they get to finish the story at some point, but I doubt that will happen.

I liked Trevor, but he still seemed out of place in that role. CC is dying quickly, and while I’ll be glad to finally start watching TDS again, it’s too bad that his return is only temporary. I was hoping that with his other show being cancelled, he’d simply return and save the entire network.

Just started watching Monarch. So far, so good. Also, the actress who plays Cate...

Finally just finished up season 2 of GI Joe. A couple things:
- As a kid, season 1 and 2 all seemed to blend together, but in reality, they were pretty much made up of two different cast of characters each season. Pretty much all new Joes and all new Cobra
- Destro and Cobra Commander are only in like 10 of the 30 season 2 episodes, and the Barronness in maybe 2 or 3. It's all Sepentor and Dr Mindbender. I remember Dr Mindbender, but not as major a role as he was in season 2.
- You don't see Duke, Flint, Scarlett, or any of those Joe main characters from season 1 outside of 5-7 episodes. The focus is on SciFi, Leatherneck, Wetsuit, Dial Tone, Liftticket, Lifeline, and Slip Stream.
- There are some characters I thought were in the Sunbow series when I was a kid that aren't even around yet like Tunnelrat and Law and Order.
- Onto watching the movie, and then I'll watch the 44 DIC episodes because they are supposed to be "season 3" of the Sunbow series and take place after the movie.

Watched the first episode of True Detective season 4 last night. Not a bad start. The interpretive dance was... a choice. The rest was pretty good though. Look forward to seeing where it goes.

I'm wondering if I need to go back and watch season 1 of True Detective again, before watching season 4. Evidently, there are more connections between the two seasons than the other seasons.

Regarding true detective. It would probably help, it's only 2 episodes in, but it's feeling like more of a direct sequel to season 1 than just callbacks at this point. Like that guy dancing, if you paid attention to his name and illness and you remember season 1 well, you'll see what I mean

Yeah, that's what I thought. I've watched a particular scene from episode 1 a few times since it originally aired, but that's it. Probably due for a rewatch.

Hmmm. I missed that, and I've watched season 1 probably 10ish times. Maybe I'll give it another go around this weekend. Thanks for the tip!Regarding true detective.
