I don't know a ton about fluid dynamics but I'm a little surprised they have to open an already non-solid fence in a desert for fear of floods

The Mitch McConnell thing has gone beyond political for me and is now just sad. It does show how rapidly though one can lose their mental faculties considering it wasn't long ago he was an important figure.

He still is an important figure, that's the problem.

Feinstein is not that much differently disposed, from a faculties perspective, but she's largely marginalized now. She is a subcommittee chair (which I think is Judiciary?), but that's about it; she's pretty much just a warm body for voting at this stage. McConnell is the Minority Leader, and one of the maybe three most important legislators in the country.

We keep people alive too long as it is...and too large of a percentage of them are in power...

Let's wind medical science back to like 1998 or so and reshuffle the deck...

Remember when the media was briefly enamored with this dadhole just because he was attacking Trump? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Both she and he should be forced to resign. It's utterly bullshit that they arent

Sure, and by tomorrow morning if possible. But one is a leader and one isn't (anymore).

Not sure if you’re excusing it or just pointing it out, but just because it happened in the past doesn’t mean it isn’t utter bullsh*t today.

Should Bernie Sanders be forced to retire?

I don't think so. Not a fan but he seems to be competent.

I think the issue with Mitch/Feinstein is an issue of competency especially with Mitch as he's one of the leaders in the senate.

If there was an actual age cap, and Bernie was over it. Yes he should be forced to retire - but knowing he has an expiration date, he can help usher in the next crop.

These old people aren't ushering anyone new in, or helping progress their cause past their expiration date.

It's obviously just too much to ask for these boomer / silent generation dadholes to be responsible

Bernie and Trump are old dadholes that are still functioning (at what we'd expect of them). But Feinstein is barely alive, and McConnell is in early stage alzheimers or something.
