I'm hoping that he can stick this time. With (allowing for whatever injury 58 has):

Letang, Daley, Pouliot, Maatta, Lovejoy and Dumoulin, they can function a somewhat real NHL defense and get the puck up the ice.
Use Cole as your it's really a bad deal, Colonial Penn life insurance policy and see if you can give him away over the Summer.

With him, you have to assume it is. Talented player, but one of the most injury prone I've ever seen.

Letang is going to end up retiring due to injury and illness before the age of 30 and spend the rest of his life in a full body cast. He's as injury prone as Beau.

Probably has more to do with David Easternblock getting concussed by a ref.

It really has gotten old.

Just gotta have depth at WBS because you know he's going to miss half to one-third of the games with injuries. Kudos to Rutherford and the front office for having some depth in WBS. Erixon and Olesky are not great hockey players, but they have spent significant time in the NHL and could step in as a 6th man for a while if the team was in a pinch.

That sounds great, but then the flipside is that makes his current contract look like such an anchor.

He was called up Monday morning, they were in St. Louis at that point. Was he even at the arena by game time last night? Let alone zero practice time.
