It's a shame that Pro Beach Hockey isn't still around. I think that would be a more natural habitat for Beau.

I said something about the Rangers having a fairly manageable run-in and appear to have whammied them. Not sorry at all.

Sorry for the jinx, but the Pens have scored a lot of goals during the latest games. Have they been lucky or are they just playing well? Scoring seems to generally be down, but the Pens seem to score 3+ goals in each game right now...

They have scored 5+ goals in each of the past 4 games, and averaged 3.875 goals/game in the month of March. A terrific fore-check and transition game has certainly helped out.

They are winning puck battles in both zones. Their speed forces defenders on their heels, and slower opponents can't recover and defend properly.

Also in their own end: any rebound that Flower or Murray give up and at least one Pens player is on it, with another in support to get it out of the zone. Very reminiscent of the 2009 playoff Pens.

The result column in the GDT doc is fun to look at recently.

Did not realize the pens now own the 4th best record in the entire league.

Not sure if this warrants a Rick Tocchet appreciation thread, but I found it interesting that Phil Bourque mentioned on air, when discussing the Pens' newly-resurgent powerplay, that Rick Tocchet has had a greater say in things recently. When Mike Johnston was fired I remember hearing that by the end of his term Johnston pretty much only communicated with Agnew, and that Tocchet just wasn't in the picture at all... interesting stuff.

I guess whoever decided this didn't actually watch the Buffalo game.

Tocchet was hired prior to Johnson, no? So Johnston and Agnew wouldn't let Tocchet sit at their lunch table.

How will Matt Murray’s rise affect Marc-Andre Fleury’s future in Pittsburgh?

Pretty sure that he's already going out with Fleury's wife.

*shudder* Do not speak of that atrocity. I was at game one, and things looked great......through the first 20.

If we at the very least lose in OT in both of our last games or win either one, we get the two seed
