You can't really "play a few shifts" in a hockey game. If you're in the lineup, you're playing all game.

I don't mean to dwell on this Crosby stuff...but you absolutely can...you dress extra players in the preseason too, so it's not like you would even mess with the lines...

Anyway, that's enough about that...what's done is done, no one will care by opening night...

I don't like that idea. Good luck being a second year NHL coach and telling the most competitive superstar in the game to be the grocery stick until we get a power play. I agree he should have been in the building, but not playing is no big deal.
