So, what's the trade for Jarry that you think is reasonable and would move the needle for you? Just the foundation of a trade is fine...

"I would trade Jarry to [team] straight across for [player]"

I think that might help frame where you're coming from with this a bit...
3 way trade. Ullmark to PIT, jarry to LA, stuffs to boston

I was addressing that to mimh, actually...you're off the hook haha (unless you're sarcastically answering for him, in which case, that's excellent  )
I was answering sarcastically.

Edit: That seems how most MIMH hot takes end.

Smith seems to have a bit of jump tonight. Auditioning himself?

Red hot power play...

Passing it between Bunting's legs to get it out to the flank is really funny...that pass is supposed to be through a player facing the puck, you silly gooses...

Not sure why that took so long. That exact play happens all the time nowadays.

I wouldn’t be able to give names because I have no sense of who is on the trade market and because it’s too over-simplifying. There are a few strategies to a potential Jarry-centered trade including but not limited to:

-try to trade him for someone 1:1

- adding in picks or prospects (thankfully now that we have a deeper prospect pool) if we want to focus more on winning-now

- adding in Graves to open up more cap space if we think we can improve significantly in free agency

I’d try to target a top 4 LHD or a bottom 12 scoring winger in a trade but also obviously this depends on if there’s a GM who has useful pieces and also values Jarry highly

and also I’m not saying Ned is better and we should put all of our eggs in his basket. Just that this team needs a lot of help and Jarry might be more valuable in a trade than on the roster

I don’t know that Puus being offsides matters, right? Bobby is in the NZ when it hits him

Give me an equivalent name of anyone - whether they're on the trade market or not - that you think makes sense. Or...I'll meet you even lower...give me a Penguin equivalent of who makes sense to you in a 1:1 trade.

"I'd trade Jarry straight across for another Puustinen" or "I'd trade Jarry for a 23 year old version of Lars Eller"

- Our prospect pool is deeper in the sense that Jeff Bezos just got a little bit richer. I'm sure it happened, but not in any meaningful way.

- A team taking on $10 million a year in contracts for the next 4+ years is extremely unlikely...it also means that we just give both players away (which is good in one instance, and bad is another, when you're giving away a top 10 goalie for free)...

"bottom 12 scoring winger", eh? I'll check my rolodex...

Bobby has to "intentionally" play it back into his zone if I'm not mistaken.

So deep. We went from what? 30 to 28?
