I sorta figured graves was gonna suck before the season started. Or at least disappoint.

But Smith has been AWOL and I didnt expect that at all

Graves is who scares me because we don’t really have someone to replace him in the top 4 right now. Not sure how we get someone but that’s our most immediate need

lol Jesus, just looked up the ice time from last night. Karlsson, Tanger and Patterson all 22+ minutes (EK at 27 and Tanger at 25). Then PO at 16 (who wasn’t as bad as some people were saying but also I don’t really trust him) and then Graves and Ruhwedel at 12 or less. So top heavy and that concerns me because we need EK and Letang to be healthy going into the playoffs


no idea how but if we want a chance to win the cup we’ll need to make a trade for a Schultz/Daley type d-man who can help eat minutes for us. Nothing fancy but someone who can be consistent


looking back, I can’t believe we got Schultz and Daley for a third round pick and Scuderi respectively. Those were some good trades by Rutherford

also it disappoints me to no end that Ovi got that weak-ass goal last night. A lame wrister from the point that found its way through traffic. Gave the ESPN crew a chance to blow their loads to him when he was effectively invisible the entire game

as long as the top 4 were all of them playing 40 minutes each
the guy can probably play, like rielly smith, he just doesn't care to all that much

Smith has a lot more care than Graves does...I don't think they belong in the same conversation right now. Which doesn't excuse Smith, he's slid in the last 15-20 games for sure. But Graves is a career fraud.

i'll defer to you but to me smith is skiing down the same mountain of apathy that graves is.

I have no problem whatsoever with Smith. He's playing well away from the puck and chipping in offensively at a level expected for a middle 6 winger.

The only thing I'd do is get him off both power plays because he struggles there. Reminds me of zucker in that regard
