That’s awesome. He and Pettersson have had both helpers on 3 of the goals tonight. If not a record, it has to be close. Probably a record where the two players were defensemen.

Most points in a game from a d man since 2004 and only one 13ish defenseman with 6+ points.

Letang entered the game tied for 32nd in assists among NHL defensemen. He's now tied for 10th.

Jake is quietly on pace for 94 points.

Amazing game for sure, but for me the most impressive thing is the shutout. Like KC said, blowouts happen both ways during the ebb and flow of an 82 game season. This team is consistently getting goaltending that is either elite or very close to it. This team has a shot as long as that's the case.
