is it just me or does the NHL no longer call embellishing? that dive by Johnny Hockey was just embarrassing and I saw a few others by the BJs too.

Most of those guys are honor graduates of "The Sedin Brothers School Of Diving"

Laine's was equally bad. Maybe not as obvious but just as bad.

No longer? They never (really) called it. Mostly because it's a really hard call to make in real time...

there was a time, maybe 10 years ago or longer? where they were "cracking down" on it and you might get called in-game but also might simply be fined afterwards and put on Santa's Naughty List.

Yeah, I recall that...but even that didn't result in a huge uptick of penalties. A bit of a blip, but nothing that I would consider a deterrent (clearly)...

I'd like a save there, even with the screen...I'm a little surprised Jarry didn't take his eyes to the left of the screen, maybe meow can break it down...

You’d typically like his to start on his left side of the screen since the play was there and the shooter was a lefty. EK also got caught in that middle ground and didn’t have a better option other than a half-assed block attempt
