Matheson is struggling tonight

He will appear to struggle and then he'll join a rush or carry the puck up the ice and look elite while doing it. I think there's still a lot of upside with him.

Pretty even game but Jarry had to make some great saves. Felt like we were fortunate to get a point. No Crosby, Malkin, Rust…I’ll take a point and be happy.

This team still is going to need a lot more out of Kap and Zucker. I'm not sure they'll get it. It's not enough to just show up on the scoresheet once every 4 or 5 games, and do little to nothing in between.

Very pleased with the experience watching this game on the ESPN app. Both feeds available, stream quality was very good, and no issues. Definitely will be listening to other broadcasts, but wanted to hear the Lange stuff last game.

My comment was more along the lines that if Jarry plays like this all year, the team will win a lot of games.

Seems like there’s no question that Jarry is talented enough to be a starter in the NHL. There’s really only the question of whether or not he’ll poop his pants in April.

I certainly think he can. I see few red flags that make me doubt his playoff ability. Last year was an incredible outlier. IMO

I agree. I get the Pens on cable but watched the Kings/Preds on ESPN+ and it looked great.

When stakes get higher and intensity ramps up, does he completely stop understanding concepts of time and space. I don’t think there’s any way to know this until it happens

But…I can’t remember a goalie of this talent level turning into a pumpkin over and over. I also think he’ll be ok. But I also think last year was the last chance for his performance to matter. He’s gonna be a star when we’re in no position to win anything.

Last year was a big bummer.

ESPN+ was definitely better last night, but is still suffers from some artifacts at times and some stuttering. If this is the worst of it, I can live with that.

I just hate how streaming makes it more difficult to jump around. I feel like it's more of a pain to switch over to the NLCS during a tv timeout.

If I could add one button to a Fire TV remote it would be a 'jump back' button. Real pain in the ass to switch between two channels on YTTV. The guide starts back at the top every time you call it up.
