I don't do it because I pride myself in my compete level but because I get the most fun out of a diving play or a surprise play. I don't physical up against people. That's try hard. But I like to surprise people by doing the little things. Steal the dribble off a point guard or back up first base from right field or beat out a grounder or chase down a guy and pop a fumble from behind. If I played hockey it would definitely be the stick lift or pass interception. Getting engaged in every possible moment rather than standing around waiting to one time a pass or whip up a 3. I've certainly been spoiled watching Crosby

#20: Ty Glover - no upside
#19: Chase Yoder - no upside
#18: Emil Jarventie - not good at anything
#17: Nolan Collins - no upside at all
#16 Raivis Ansons - dropped four spots from las year
They screwed up and plum forgot about Jack St. Ivany, who slots in at #20, the irony being that there is little reason to remember him. He's the dman Hextall drafted when he was the Flyers' GM and later signed as a FA.

As if there's a material difference between 20 and 26 aka just leaving him off the list

I didn't realize how many teams he has gone through once he was done with the Penguins.

Thirteen teams across five leagues in the last decade.

Didn't realize he was still playing. LNAH is basically the NOSHO in Shoresy.

#14 Taylor Gauthier
#13 Isaac Belliveau
#12 Lukas Svejkovsky
#11 Tristan Broz

A long-termn goalie project and a bunch of guys with at least some skill. Still, I don't think they're NHL material.

I'm actually a little surprised to see 13 and 11 this far down...not that I like them, but these kind of folks should...

I assume that they confused that with how many points he scores in an AHL season...

Oh, Hockey News...you old b*tch...

So, this write up does include Hallander - who isn't coming back. UDFA Jordan Frasca who gets a point every three games in the Cheese. And Josh Maniscalco who was not given a qualifying offer and is no longer in the organization as of two months ago.

But does NOT include Kirill Tankov...

That's impressive, if nothing else...

#10 Sergei Murashov
#9 Emil Pieniniemi
#8 Sam Poulin
#7 Jonathan Gruden
#6 Joel Blomqvist

Finally, some real prospects. Blomqvist even had two concussions last season, so he'll fit right in.

So the Top 5 is Yager, Pickering, PO, Ty Smith, Puustinen. Welp.

PO and ty smith are prospects? Nah. Tankov maybe but alternatively they forgot about him

I think this list that G is giving us is U25 players.

But I guess they assume that Tankov died of his injuries...that, or, they're not looking at any of these players and are just going by stats...

Top 25 under 25, yes.

Tankov missed almost the entire season due to a neck injury and it wasn't even a given he'd be able to resume his career, so I can see why he was left off.

Mark Osiecki, former Buckeye hockey coach and I think also was an assistant for a WJC team or two?

Osiecki was also part of this disastrous University of Wisconsin run...they've had some teams, and by all accounts, it's been a disaster. Hopefully he doesn't have that goo on him...

DeFazio is a first time staff...he's just getting off the buses. He knows the world, if nothing else...

Ontario Jr. A -> NCAA -> ECHL -> AHL -> 2 NHL games -> AHL -> KHL -> Liiga -> Czech -> DEL

#5 Valtteri Puustinen
#4 Ty Smith
#3 Owen Pickering
#2 PO
#1 Brayden Yager

No surprises here. Based on my extensive research, ie perusal of dubious sources, I'd put Blomqvist at #5 or even #4. I'm also fairly intrigued by Murashov and Pieniniemi, probably mostly because there is very little else to get excited about.

One of the top 5 U25 players on the team is a 24 year old with one career NHL game...?
