Great first period. The Pens looked more energized, but that's mostly because they played so well away from the puck.

If they continue to play this fundamentally sound and finish their checks, the Isles won't be able to counter it.

I asked this after game one, but is Zucker playing? I get that the third line is a collection of spare parts because Geno is a *****, but Rodrigues and Gaudreau at least work.

First five minutes of the second are huge. Would feel a lot better if the Pens could get a quick third.
