I don't think it's okay, but I also don't know that it was enough for a suspension. Conversely, if he was suspended one game, I wouldn't call it unfair.

when Friedman crashed into the boards I audibly yelped and was worried he'd have a bad leg injury

albeit he got up right after and seems fine but that was a super dangerous play and obviously had intent to injure imo. There's no reason for him to make that hit otherwise
