Not the best return but I feel like this will be sort of an addition by subtraction move, like AB and the Steelers.

I guess except Phil was shipped out because Sully can’t manage players that won’t bend to his will. A guy that when “unmotivated” puts up a PPG.

So Kessel wasn’t burnt out. He was just a baby.

Boo hoo. The big, bad coach was being a meanie and holding guys accountable. Kessel pouted for 86 games this year. GMJR is lucky to have got anything of value in return

Says the guy boasting about the prospect of kicking Sully to the curb for an AHL coach...

It’s the big bad coach’s job to determine the proper leadership style given the situation he’s in and the resources he has.

Coaches can’t change their style with the same core of guys. Sullivan had Tocchet between he and Phil and that worked. Lose the middle man, lose the trust with that player.

Kessel said #penguins GM Rutherford is "mistaken" with claim that he went to team asking for a trade a few times. Adds Rutherford can says what he wants, doesn't want to get involved.
https://twitter.com/Zeisberger/status/1 ... 62816?s=20

The full quote was actually: “I’m not sure that’s exactly what happened," he said on a Coyotes conference call. "Jim came to me, one time, and said to me that I’ll never be a Penguin again. I think he’s mistaken a little bit there. But I’m not here to tell what really happened and the real truth. So whatever Jim wants to say.”

When do we stop defending GMJR with “he won 2 cups!”

The day after people stop defending Sullivan with that line?

There’s really not a free agent out there that I would like to see the Pens sign. The higher end guys are gonna get sooooo overpaid and the lower end guys are all pretty meh

I want Fredrik Claesson and Pontus Åberg for sure...everyone else, we probably don't have much room for...I would give Brett Ritchie a look too...

Matt Cullen was meeting with the top of the Penguins' management structure Sunday night in Sewickley, Pa., a source told DKPittsburghSports.com, possibly toward taking a post-playing position within the organization.https://www.dkpittsburghsports.com/2019 ... eeting-dk/
