Quite a situation to throw the young guys in but good luck to them.

I assume they will keep Chorney up just now pending some of the injuries?

Hopefully harrington made some strides after his taste up here earlier...hopefully dumoulin...found something NHL caliber in himself.

Would have to imagine the master plan (not including Letang) would be to have

Martin Ehrhoff
Cole Lovejoy
Scuds Poliout

Most likely looking at

Martin Cole
Lovejoy Poliout
Scuds Chorney

Worst case

Martin Cole
Lovejoy Scuds
Chorney Domoulin

I don't see Harrington getting time unless another injury happens.

Yeah, I guess I'd rather have one of them than 5 D. Not that I think there's someone better to call up, I've just been entirely underwhelmed by them. Dumoulin looks like a very poor man's Ryan Whitney, and Harrington... I have no idea what people see in Harrington. He has virtual no offensive capabilities, no physicality, average skater, and is way too young to jump in as a good "positional defenseman." It takes guys like that years to develop and they're very hard to predict.

Yeah I like Harrington as a prospect, not sure he helps now. I see nothing in Dumoulin.

Neither one were particularly good while here earlier.

Hopefully the freaking forwards will come back like they should and make the transition game as simple on the d as it's supposed to be.

Trial by fire at this point. Not much you can do. I mean it at least gives the other dmen a rest from time to time.

We're half way there. All we need to do now is bring up Kapanen and Farmhand, and we'll be all set.

Semi-related, but Rust was injured today on a pretty hard hit (somewhat of a board).

Very considerate of him to get the injury out of the way now instead of potentially forcing the team to play down a man during a game.

Free Farnham!

Watched one of the WBS games that was recently televised here. Dumoulin was easily the best player on the ice. Was pretty much AHL Paul Coffey, which I guess is John Slaney. Was just bigger, faster, and better than everyone.

Not sure how Bobby Farnham is swinging for the fences. This team has had trouble scoring and I dont think Farnham will help with that.

I've been hoping for a Dumoulin callup for a while. I've wanted him as the #6 d-man (next year as well).

I'm not a fan of throwing them into the fire like this against (IMO) the best team in the NHL, but meh.
