Wonder what it would take to trade for Fleury

Looks like I wasn't the only one drinking before the game.

Get a real 3c, Hornqvist in for Kuhn, and figure out the 2nd and 3rd defensive pairs. McKegg takes over as the 4c.

Pens are bad imo
All those times they played with half an AHL lineup, and they put up better fights than this.

Aside from a missing 3c and LOLgoatlending, is it fatigue?

I think it's past time to call it a night.

Wonder how Sully is going to handle this.

I'm not sure I remember getting pasted like this in the X Generation let alone since Sid has been here.

The whole team is playing poorly so it’s a bit unfair to call out individuals, but.....Kuhnhackl isn’t a third line player. He might not even be worthy of a spot in the lineup but he’s playing on line 3. Rowney is an average 4th line winger/fringe NHLer and he’s centering line 4. McKegg is a fringe NHLer and he’s centering line 3. He needs to be on line 4. What is Wilson’s role? Hornqvist is out. The center situation has 50% of the forward lines all messed up. Missing Hornqvist exacerbates the forward issues. D and goaltending have been bad after 2 games. Stanley Cup hangover evident. Not playing with energy or physicality. Back to back against two good teams.

I'm not too concerned at this point. This is a team that knows how to win and they must know that their compete level is simply not where it needs to be. Defensive breakdowns are killing them and the goaltending hasn't been able to bail them out. The good news is there are 80 more games to go. They will right the ship.

How many of these did Niemi give up?
33% fewer than Murray.

How's that for an analytic?

Hmph, so it was 10-1...I watched the whole game, but I assumed because I was drunk that I exaggerated the results in my own head...nope...

Nice thing about a 10-1 loss is that it only counts as one loss...I cite the February 12, 1984 Oilers/Whalers game for setting the precedent of "meh, **** happens"...

I will say, among other things, our transition/NZ D is that of a last place team...get through Saturday on skill and then you get some practice days before Wsh-TB, address that please...

I commend you for blocking this game out of your head^

Side note- the 03/04 Pens suffered a 9-0 loss to TB and an 8-0 loss to MTL.
