Not addressing all of your points... but:
The goal horn is excessive.
The announcer is a nice guy, but his yelling is even worse than the horn. One of these days he is just going to have an aneurysm right in the box.

The thing that I can't get past is the idiotic yelling of "O" and "red" during the anthem. As long as they keep doing that I hope that they win NOTHING.

Interesting history note: of the 9 playoff series between the Penguins and the Capitals, the Capitals have won the first game 8 times. As most already know, the Penguins hold an 8-1 playoff series advantage against the Craps.

Two of my favorite playoff series victories of all time are the two times the Penguins trailed the Caps 3-1 in the series, only to come back and win the next 3. Caps fans and players were booking their trips to the next round while the Pens had them right where they wanted them.
