Of the 23 active players on the Flyers’ roster today, 16 were drafted while Pryor was with the organization:

• Nicolas Aubel-Kubel, RW (second round - 2014)

• Connor Bunnaman, C (fourth round - 2016)

• Sean Couturier, C (first round - 2011)

• Joel Farabee, LW (first round - 2018)

• Morgan Frost, C (first round - 2017)

• Claude Giroux, C (first round - 2006)

• Shayne Gostisbehere, D (third round - 2012)

• Robert Hagg, D (second round - 2013)

• Carter Hart, G (second round - 2016)

• Scott Laughton, C (first round - 2012)

• Oskar Lindblom, LW (fifth round - 2014)

• Nolan Patrick, C (first round - 2014)

• Ivan Provorov, D (first round - 2015)

• Travis Sanheim, D (first round - 2014)

• Carsen Twarynski, LW (third round - 2016)

• James van Riemsdyk, LW (first round - 2007)

Two others, defensemen Philippe Myers (2015) and left winger Michael Raffl (2013), were undrafted free agent signings during Pryor’s tenure.
Pretty impressive.

Is it possible that the Pens will finally have some good drafting? For literally the first time ever?

I’m expecting a massive overhaul to the scouting department. I think Friend of Mario status keeps Craig Patrick, Warren Young, Gilles Meloche, and Kevin Stevens employed. Whoever is responsible for finding undrafted college free agents stays on merit. Every other position should be up for grabs.

Archie found Marino, so he stays. Plus, he’s the best.

Grabbing these undrafted college guys takes a commitment. Like. If you want to be a year in and year out destination for these guys, you can be by throwing more resources at that aspect of front office work.

Trend: Pens in general have issues finding the puck when at their feet. Especially in the defensive zone.

It would be a lot of surgery for not that much gain...and is probably not a good idea because of the term...but I wonder if we could make a couple of moves to make space and then convince Florida to give us a mid-round pick to take Connolly...

Yeah me too...he hasn't been real good the last year and a half, but I think he just needs a change of scenery maybe...if he's just gonna continue to coast, he's worthless obviously...but when he's on, he can grind, and he has a bullet shot...

They retain $1M and take Sceviour back. They save $1M this year and $2.5M each of the next two.

BTW... I love the Hornqvist has 18 points (10 ev, 8 pp) in 20 games because their coach isn't a complete moron that banishes him to the 4th line.

Pens have 4 regulation wins in 20 games. Thats a damning statistic.

This recent road trip its easy to say well they went 2-2 not so bad, but they gave up 3 of 4 points to the Caps and Isles each, only garnering 2 of 4 for themselves. . So losing ground in the standings even going 2 - 2.

Just read that PPG is going to start allowing 2800 fans (season ticket holders priority it sounds like) starting this Tuesday.

2,800 people in that arena is pretty low risk imo

 $13 for a Coors Light. I don't know if I could afford killing COVID at a Pens game.
