I don't have the hockey eye that others do, but EK has been a pretty big disappointment for me. I expected more offense....and less blunders on defense. He's been average at best. So I guess a C...maybe a C-
yeah, this is kind of where my headspace is at a little bit. like when he **** up on defense, it's much more "apparent" than when he makes a good breakout play or offensive zone pass. now, I know that there's a layer of selection bias in how I perceive it, so I try not to get too worked up over it...it's kind of like when an offensive linemen does his job, you kind of don't notice them, but when he gives up a sack, it's painfully obvious. that said, I watched exactly 0 Sharks games over the last couple years (other than when they played the Pens) so it's hard to compare to how he's been in the last couple years

but again, the glaring issue with the team right now is the PP which, whether it's fair or not, is something I expected to be better, not worse, with EK

I'm not sure how the primary power play quarterback on the 31st ranked powerplay can be looked at as performing above average

Because it's been fairly obvious Reirden isn't putting them in a position to succeed

Yohe wrote that the Pens expected him to use his legs more and are kind of down on him for that.

Well...he's skating as much as the current Norris winner it seems...

Maybe he'd skate more if we had more movement on the power play...

I would imagine we're going to hear this the rest of his career if he's a Pens lifer.

Crosby to the Avalanche to play with Nate would be cool to watch. In an alternate history kind of way.

I probably missed where this was discussed, but according to Seravalli, Jake was offered 6 years, $50 mil. That ain't going to do it fellas.

Frank Seravalli has really lost some credit lately, as in he's been throwing **** at the wall and none of it has actually come to fruition. I think he pissed off his contacts with the Kraken draft and now he's got nothing going. Would take that with a grain of salt.

Couple that with the fact that literally none of his peers actually liked or respected him, either...

You have club seats right?

My parents got priced out of their Key Bank Club half season plan this year because of all the renovations they're doing/planning on doing to the clubs.

I could've sworn you said you had Captain Morgan club seats once or twice, and assumed those were your season ticks lol

I would’ve assumed, maybe erroneously, that Sid and EK in particular would have influence in how the PP is schemed.

even if the PP changes schematically I probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference because I don’t watch film but it’s genuinely embarrassingly bad and it feels like not much is being done
