Pens 2nd round schedule

Postby NTP66 » Wed Apr 27, 2016 12:34 pm

Source of the post Parents getting kids to bed
Our son's bath time is 8:30 and bedtime immediately follows most of the time. No matter when the game starts there will be an interruption. With the 8pm start I can usually do bath time after the 1st and have him in bed and down for the night by halfway through the 2nd.
How old is he, if you don't mind me asking? We try and get my 3 year old to bed around 8pm, but that doesn't actually happen until 8:30ish. My wife is the best, so during Pens games, outside of me giving my daughter a hug and kiss goodnight, I'm absolved from all parental duties.

I've only ever lived in the east coast, but I imagine the best time zone for watching sports is Mountain Time. The earliest of all the games start at 5 MST (7 EST) so right after normal work hours and the latest you stay up to watch west coast games is about 11ish

Ah yes, forgot you mentioned that the other day. I'm actually surprised our son hasn't had a tick yet.

I remember my first work trip to Vegas. I got to Vegas the day before I had to work, and hit the ESPN Sports Zone around 4PM local time. It was in the middle of the NHL playoffs, and it was glorious.

I would have loved one afternoon game so I could watch it live without staying up to ridiculous o'clock.

Isnt this all why DVR was invented? If bed time for the kids gets in the way, you simply hut the pause button and get stuff done. Its not like my wife is going to spoil it for me (thems be grounds for divorce). I wont check my phone til I catch up.

Gaucho is in Germany and won't miss any of these games. Even the dopey west coast regular season games. He's a machine.

I can't seem to watch a taped sporting event. It just doesn't work for me.

It takes a long time to get used to it and a lot of discipline to not check. The only thing you cant account for is some jerkoff with no respect for you to just ruin it for you. I do find that the more sognificant the game, the harder it is to do.

I'm exactly the same way. Its either a live game or nothing and I'll catch the highlights.
My son's birthday tonight. I'll miss at least the 1st and 2nd periods, I imagine.
