So what are we witnessing here, exactly?
Sheary's had more than one night now where he's been one of the most dangerous players on the ice. No one seems to have any answer for his speed, and the way he can control the puck while moving 100mph is pretty amazing.
Is this a case of, "wait till his usefulness drops once the league gets a book on him" combined with small sample size of unlikely success?
Or is it possible that he's just freaking good, and his slow start was a result him getting the confidence to try things on his own?

I can't wait to see him on the 3rd line with Geno and Fehr.

He's just so...wee.
My guess is that he gets favorable matchups because of the Pens depth...and that will continue to be the case when Malkin gets back.

That man is working his tail off... He seems like he has been a man on fire since Rust, Wilson, and Kuhnhackl got their one-way deals

Dude is tiny. He is listed as 5'8 which is total bs.

He's usually great for two or three games, then sort of quiet for the next ten. I like him.

He signed a two-year extension before this season. Unfortunately for him, out of the Wilkes-Barre quartet he's the only player with a two way deal. That man is working his tail off... He seems like he has been a man on fire since Rust, Wilson, and Kuhnhackl got their one-way deals

I've already tested one idea, and it was an abject disaster. My arm still hurts.

Start with a hyperbolic paraboloid (see: the shape of a Pringles chip) and go from there.

He's been impressive from what I've seen recently and I've kinda been carried on a euphoric wave of WBS awesomeness with how all those guys have been performing.
Hopefully he can be useful long term and his speed is a great asset.

I was thinking of the depth of having a Petr Sykora/Milo Satan on a fourth line. Not that Sheary is on the level of either of those players yet, he certainly has more offensive capability than any other Penguin 4th liner since that Cup team.Source of the post J.Staal, then?
I'm assuming Malkin will play a "third" line (although Sullivan said it will technically be the second line) with two of Fehr/Bennett/Kuhnhackl/Rust, with Cullen centering Sheary and one of the others mentioned earlier. That's a lot of speed spread out over four lines, and skill.

I think Malkin is going to get Sheary and Fehr.
If he isn't going to break up Nick, Phil, and Carl (sounds like a sitcom), I don't see him breaking up Cullen, Kuhn, Rust

My thought as well. Bennett might find his way into the lineup as well, but the coaching staff definitely seems to favor Sheary over him at this point and deservedly so.I think Malkin is going to get Sheary and Fehr.
