Why was Hagelin benched for most of the second? He wasn't on for a GA...

Sure. Winning in an expected letdown game is nothing but a plus. I'll be happy win one more win going into the playoffs.

It certainly felt that way. I had (have?) a terrible feeling this team goes 1-2 in their last 3 games. But they could be cool dudes and prove me wrong.

I love Carl Hagelin. What an addition to this team. What an addition to my quality of life and general well-being.
And there were some on here who panned that trade when it was made. How's Perron doing with the Quacks right now? Rutherford fleecing Chicago for Daley and then stealing Hagelin away from the Quacks has been exactly what these guys have needed and haven't had much of in the last few years -- crazy speed and d-men that can carry the mail and deliver it when needed. I'm not one to get overly optimistic come playoff time but the meter is starting to go further and further towards that feeling.

Peron's a good fit with the Ducks when he's healthy and Hagelin fits in well here. I think that was one of those trades that will help both teams.

If all Sullivan did was get Letang to up his game like this he'd have earned most of his money.

Nobody on this earth is eating a bigger plate of crow than Rob Rossi right now, and I love it.

I love this team, and I always have. Rossi can go     himself.

no way - Rossi is the type of guy, like the owner in the movie The Replacements... pumping his fist saying "I knew it all along".

He probably sees this as "Ahh they finally listened to me - right again I was"

Last year around this time the Pens blew a 3-0 lead to Ottawa as they were crashing to end the season. This year things are a little different.

Gotta be honest, I turned it off after the Sens went up 3-0 and went to bed. Gotta be even more honest, I was not as surprised as I would have been one year ago to find out that they clawed their way back and won.

If you'd have told me in January that the Pen's would finish the season with over 100 points, I'd have given you the number for a mental institution.

They're making me believe the playoffs might not suck. I'm not sure I like this feeling.

They're averaging 3.94 goals/game since March 1st, and have won 13 of their last 14. This team is most certainly for real.

I had the Ottawa broadcast last night, and they spent the entire first period (and intermission) talking about how Karlsson deserves the Norris. Mind you, I don't believe Letang deserves it, but they dismissed Doughty - who I believe should get it - without giving legitimate reasons for doing so.

The Norris is a point race for defensemen. Not to diminish the season that Letang has had, but Karlsson should and will win with the season he has put together. 80 pts from a dman, in a period where scoring is at an all time low, is VERY IMPRESSIVE.

Doughty is averaging .64 5v5 Pts/60... To put that into perspective, Rob Scuderi is at .66 5v5 Pts/60.

If there ever was an advanced stat comparison that made all advanced stats seem dumb, that would be it.

Source of the post The Norris is a point race for defensemen.
This is where I 100% disagree. It's supposed to go to the best all-around defenseman, which Karlsson is certainly not.
