If not for a phone call, that would have been my response too. I know it's a one-year award, but it's one thing to say "you had an all star cast!" and another to say "you really helped created an all star cast"...

Eh, if Ruff deserved "coach of the year" for their surge into the top tier of players, it would be been last year, not this one

but Seguin and Benn were 2 and 3 in points per game. Your point was that Ruff deserves credit for them being great and my point was that they started being great last year, not this year

It was WRT them being good players. Sullivan inherited a team, Ruff helped create the team...
