That was a great line, wasn't it? And yet I'll still take a 2nd line of Malkin and two milk cartons before Straka-Lang-Kovalev. Boy, we Pens fans are spoiled.I think the Straka-Lang-Kovy line will just be too much for the caps to handle. Best 2nd line in the league.

YesWhich is worse; playoff loss to the Flyers or Caps?
I will always say it's worse to lose to the Flyers. With the Caps, they have such a monkey on their back about the Pens that it's pretty comical. Don't get me wrong, I never want to lose to them either but given the choice, I'd rather lose to them than the Flyers. Hell, it would have been worse to lose to the Bugs than lose to the Caps just because of the favorite/underdog situation. I look at this series as the Pens are the underdog and it'll be fun to upend them again. But if things go bad, the Caps still have more obstacles to overcome and beating the Pens may be enough to warrant a parade after they get bounced in the conference finals.

We've lost to the Flyers in the playoffs multiple times. It sucks, but I can deal with it because I've seen it before. Torturing this franchise with an 8-1 record, and the 1 being when Mario barely played, has been sweet and I'd love to keep it going. Even if the Caps didn't win the Cup just beating Pittsburgh would be 1A for them. Especially the Ovi era fans who weren't watching in the 90's. They need to suffer longer.

From everything I've heard, I feel like if the Rangers win they have to give that hat thing to Lundqvist or else he will freak out and throw shot all over the place.
Rupp was just talking about a 3-1 win they had on the road where the gave up a goal with like a minute to play to ruin the shutout.
Said Lundy was freaking out in the dressing room, throwing **** everywhere. Guys had to calm him down and explain that they won. Now Rupp said "the guys understood, because he's a competitor"... but I say he's just an dadhole. If he's that way when he wins, what kind of dadhole is he when he loses?

To be fair, it would get pretty old carrying a team that long and winning nothing, it's not shocking personal stats take over as an end all be all legacy builder.

I think we might see that at some point, but Hainsey being a "trusted" PKer vs. Blue Beetle being a not so trusted PKer might increase the amount of time it takes.

Nah...it was Hagelin that was the big question mark for this series...

You know how that goes, some know-it-all tells another know-it-all that the Kunitz thing doesn't look so good, and the second know-it-all says that on his radio show...I thought Kun was dead forever
A few days later, Kunitz is skating.

Whats with the no-contact jersey for a foot injury? I mean I understand concussion or even shoulder things... but if you can skate and it was a bone in the foot - I'm not sure what practice contact is going to do.Nah...it was Hagelin that was the big question mark for this series...
Unless that's just a "get your legs under you" kind of thing. As a coach in the playoffs - if you have a guy coming back from a month or so out.. how many practices do you want before he goes back in?

No contact because you don't want to do damage to a knee or a foot when going into the boards...maybe you actually turn his foot (via a "kick" for lack of a better term) and it wrenches it a tiny bit. The idea is that you want this to be all natural, fluid motion. Save the herky jerky stuff for herky jerky time...not now in practice...
I'd want a player to get 2 or 3 good practices in ideally...sometimes you don't have that luxury in a small window...

Ron Cook should have worked for ESPN so he could have been one to get fired yesterday.
