by far the best chance during that two minutes was for the Panthers. It’s almost like the PP has the yips and the players are playing too tight

At this point I’m ready for the change. Over the last calendar year the team has had a downward trend. Sully might not be the problem but I feel like Dubas has to do something

the roster isn’t the problem. We’re top 5 in 5 on 5 goal differential and 8th in 5 on 5 expected goal differential

it’s the PP and due to who is on the PP I don’t think it’s a personnel issue at all. It’s purely tactical

The bottom 6 is trash. Dubas tried to swap out parts but they suck.

The top 6 is ok but it’s aging stars that aren’t as good as they use to be to carry the dogshit bottom 6.

The defense is also basically average at best with a few anchors weighing them down.

Goalies are fine when healthy.

They need a different voice and tactical approach to the PP. I don’t know if that means firing Reirden or Sullivan or both, but something gotta happen asap

It's kind of a one sided look because you're not removing everyone's outliers, but you take out the San Jose and our GF/GP drops from 2.88 to 2.5 and our rank drops from 24 to 29. We went 8-0 5 on 5 in that game, take those away and we go from 5th to 20th in 5 on 5 goals and I don't care to look at differential, because TLDR we suck offensively and that game is doing a lot of heavy lifting.

Doesn't matter. That's why stats are for losers. One game took them from 20th to 5th. If you want to call them 5th and say everything is hunky dory you're gonna be disappointed
