That was a pretty lucky sequence there...stay with it. Three more miles. Lock it down. Just keep doing what you're doing.

What a player Rust turned into to
Years ago I owned a Pens practice jersey from training camp. The nameplate had been covered over but it was still there. I sold it on eBay because “who the hell is Rust? He’ll never amount to anything!”

That's a swipe of two points...absolute molasses effort by New York, but I'm not complaining...
Great job by Ned to come in unexpectedly and have a real nice game.

Flyers lost in OT.
Hate to do this but 6 points behind the flyers with 2 games in hand.

I think KC mentioned this, but every game that goes by with Ned in net, I wonder if Dubas is thinking about moving Jarry in the summer for a top 6 player straight up. Judging by the leafs, it doesn’t seem like Dubas values top end goalies as much as others. Maybe a Ned plus a next year Ned type of tandem?
I mentioned it at the beginning of the last GDT. Ned's playing well, but he hasn't been lights-out amazing. Jarry's last start was in Dallas where his own team put 3 behind him...
The big question surrounding Jarry still is if you can trust him in the playoffs. Here the team is in "must win" games, and Ned is starting over him. I think if Sully doesn't trust him, then he doesn't have a future with the team... same thing happened with Murray over Fleury against Ottawa in '17. For the record, I think Jarry has played great most of the season given the performance of the rest of the team.

He was good at Notre Dame, but I had him pegged as a good future 3rd liner. His offensive skills really didn't blossom until the NHL. Granted, I'm no scout, but it's amazing how he developed.

Again, Jarry was the designated starter.
