Last summer. Drafted by the Oilers in the 2nd round of 2005 (I cheated & checked Wiki). Another of their failed draft picks, but good depth.

And they had by far the most amount of games lost due to injury. They're FINALLY getting healthy. That causes a big difference. They're better than place #11.

I will say, though the end of that Downie/Chorney/Scuderi shift was a little taxing, and some of the puck execution was off, structurally, that was handled pretty well...a lot of guys handled their assignments well there, not a lot of chasing and panic...it wasn't pretty, but structurally, it's so much different than the Bylsma-era Pens, so much...

To add to it (and to not edit), your argument is like saying the Kings are mediocre because they're tied with the Jets for 8th place in the west.

They're not one of top teams in the East either way. Penguins should be, if things were taken care of properly. I am not knocking BJs anyway. I just think Penguins should be a dominant team at this time of the year.

Hmm? I'm telling you that I'm not arguing with you and just to leave it be...you asked what to think of the period, it was stated, it has little to do with the Jackets being in 3rd or 11th or 72nd at this point in time...wasn't trying to be either of those alliterative adjectives in this case...

In fact, coming over to this board has been a little more refreshing in the sense that I don't fight through as much trolling of the team as I did on the other board...I can actually discuss the game more...
