I’m a big fan of how Hextall isn’t throwing around long term deals. It’s like him and Burke are using this year as a true gauge on the long term path for the team

I head over to Pensburgh to read about what a steal that contract is for the greatest defensive forward in the history of the game and get sucked into an “article” claiming that getting Malkin and Letang signed for under $20.5MM per season combined is not just an acceptable outcome for two mid-30s aging and oft-injured stars, but would be a win based on salary cap % now versus the last time they were signed.
Somebody please permanently disconnect this absolute **** moron’s internet connection.

Careful if you are talking about Zooks Dipstick. He will get mad at you. Especially if you point out how how he flip flops "opinion" from article to article to get more clicks, or point out the GIANT holes in his "logic" when he counters your criticisms.
But then,, big fish in a carp pond and all.

Are we getting older or is everybody now realizing that you shouldn’t pay attention to the opinions of strangers on the internet?

I think it’s more that the big players took time to adopt newer technologies and once they did we quite paying attention to any old mook with a website. Are we getting older or is everybody now realizing that you shouldn’t pay attention to the opinions of strangers on the internet?

My first ever website was an Austin Powers/South Park fan page. Not a lot of people signed the guestbook. That was either late 97 or early 98…

I still have my first GeoCities pages saved. And a SurfBest page.

But does anyone care what Dejan says anymore? Reliable insider access is worth reading. But a guy like Jeff Marek, for example, has been revealed over time to be a gormless hot take factory only 5% more wise than Puck Daddy. Only valuable for new facts - not opinions.I think it’s more that the big players took time to adopt newer technologies and once they did we quite paying attention to any old mook with a website. Are we getting older or is everybody now realizing that you shouldn’t pay attention to the opinions of strangers on the internet?

The next big hurdle is getting people to accept that the "big players" and the "mooks" really aren't that different. One set just gets paid more because people haven't accepted it yet.
