And there's your fatal mistake. It was destined to be this year.

I don't hate the Caps anymore, really, since back-to-back Cups and a lifetime of Pens domination have rendered Wash just an afterthought. It'll be harder for more folks here, apparently.

Washington was better this year, was better in the playoffs, and deserved to win, all things considered.

Great run, boys. You made history.

Get some sleep.

See ya in the fall.
The caps blow. Letang and Murray cost them his series.
They did. I still can't believe it.

Don’t worry. The caps will get obliterated next round. I’ll enjoy seeing the after game scores of 5-1 or more each game.
I wish.

Man, nearly two years of being defending champions. It's been fun. This team simply wasn't good enough this year. Those losses after last season were not replaceable apparently.

I hoping to hear about a lot of players playing with injuries because if not, some tough questions need to be asked.

A turn over at the offensive blue line with Letang on the ice and a softy by Murray. The only way it could end.

Good thing we got Big Game Brass at the deadline instead of some defense. **** the front office.

Boys, you’ve played more hockey over the past few years than any other team. Get some rest.

So losing isn’t as fun as winning. It’s been three years. I forgot.

2 games where they had the lead going to the 3rd and two losses. Final play sums up the series. Sloppy play leads to odd man rush leads to loss. **** the caps

Well, we'll just have to avenge this next year.

Heh. Maybe.

Again, Letang making a minimite tier mental mistake

His play reminded me of how he played against the Bruins in 2013. Just always out of position

I don't trust him to eat minutes anymore

Caps make it to Stanley Cup Finals...lose to Fluery.

I’d rather watch them raise a “3rd runner up banner” or “Made it to the third round”

Maybe the image of Letang getting posterized will put a bitter pill in the right executives mouth.

I get the frustration. However,

The Caps don't blow; they're excellent. Super solid hockey.
Letang and Murray were awful in many spots...here's whoelse was awful in many spots, and/or injured:
Malkin
Rust
Sheary
Brassard
Kessel
Hagelin

We also lost a ton of veteran leadership in the offseason.

Like most everything else in life, several factors contributed to the outcome in front of us.

It could also just be that they might just be banged up and ran out of gas. I mean they played almost 4 seasons worth of games he last 3 years

It happened too fast to comment - is that a legit thing ‘running a goalie and it’s incidental’? That doesn’t compute.

I would have liked to beat the caps, but I didnt think either then pens or capitals can beat the bolts these year. They are just too deep and well rounded

Dude. I’m not frustrated. The capitals blow. They’ll get destroyed next round.
