Then Kovalchuk is another year older, another year on his clearly ailing back and then he's in 35+ territory which is a different can of worms for NHL clubs...limits his earning power substantially...

We'll see. I'd like to see him back in the NHL, but won't miss him if he doesn't come back.

I don't want to see him come back. **** players who sign contracts, leave, and then come back when it suits them. He shouldn't be a free agent ever, and should have to honor his contract from the point he left off.

I don't have a subscription, but apparently Yohe wrote an article that states that Rutherford has 4-5 3C targets in mind, is willing to deal a winger, and will be looking for another mobile defenseman (that one was obvious), and has not had other teams contact him about Sprong.
