You fail to see how one of the best players in the world can help the team get back on track?
At the very least, team shot percentage *should* increase, with both Malkin and Hornqvist.

Those days along with the late 90s when the Pens were getting in as a 6, or an 8th seed or middle of the pack, ironically I had more hope in those days than I do for this team this year. Maybe it was youthful exuberance, but I honestly believed in teams like that more than I can with these guys as it stands now. They're borderline unlikable to me.

I have to admit, despite the loss this GDT has been a lot more fun. Not someone complaining about dumb crap every page

I just dont think that even with them both coming bacl this team can "flip the switch". Id love to be proven wrong though...

By the way, the correct answer was a combination of A & C. Crosby's post-game comments.

(Edited to fix the typo. He did mean "can't.")

When you're missing key guys, bear down and play solid defense. I wish we were a team that could get 1-0, 2-1 wins sometimes. We'd have to play close to error-free games though. I don't know if this roster can do that.

if this was an important game, then every game is. we're playing the islanders. i don't think any specific game matters much from here on out.

thoughts the morning after: I don't think we need a thoughts the morning after thread, nor a stewie griffin thread. maybe we can start a tradition of the GDT starter will start a post game thread, especially for games that warrant a ton of post game discussion. Last night was not one of those games, we sucked out loud.

It always stung reading netwolf's posts and him using the picture I made for him years ago, only to put [redacted] instead of Kicksave.
