Boy... that absolutely silenced the crowd. Incredible
A SHG by the Pens might inspire some boos. A wonderful thought.

Schenn has been playing lights-out since his brother was shipped out. Lousy deal.

I wonder to what extent the NHL refs use post-game video review to verify which of their calls and non-calls were legit and which were bought, and to what extent that affects their decisions in future games. I have this mental image of the post-game refs locker room being more like:

"Hey Steve, wanna see the video on that Giroux-Sundqvist call?"

"Nah, who gives a hoot? Let's have more beer, eh?"

We haven't seen the flyers much so I forgot how much of a dandy giroux is. Dude loves being face down on the ice.

The hypocrisy of a Flyers fan is they call Crosby "Cindy" and a whiner, but Claude Giroux is one of the biggest divers and whiners in the league.

Officials are subject to review (and reprimand, if needed) and film is used a lot.

And yes, players get reputations, you know things about players. As a ref, you want to have a basis for a scouting report on players if you can..."43 has no balance, falls all the time...you better see a clear stick in the skates to call it..."

Why do you think Downie never got the benefit of the doubt haha?

You know who these guys are and their tendencies...

It sounds like the Pens should have hired Hakstol instead of Johnston. :pop:

Pen's speed is causing the Flyers some serious problems. Their D can't keep up. Need to capitalize

22 shots. Keep shooting. Something has to get through. Someone has to finish eventually.

Need something to show for all of this effort! Damn!

Nice legs by Kessel to cause that turnover.
