He wanted Lack to poke check Crosby on the goal. He wanted Lack to drop his short side shoulder against a lefty on the left wing to try to poke the best player in the game. Like, my ears are bleeding

VHS - vertical horizontal stance. Right leg vertical. Left leg horizontal. That way, you still have the short side completely sealed and you are already loaded to match the cross crease move.
