Good things happen when you throw the puck to the net.

1) A LOT OF EMPTY SEATS?

2) A LOT OF RED WING FANS?
I'm seeing way more empty seats, late arriving fans, and red jerseys in the stands than I can recall in a long long time. Is this an optical illusion or what gives?

DK on Pittsburgh sports the other day said Detroit brings the most fans of any team in any sport to Consol, something I found hard to believe given the sell out streak and how invaded PNC Park gets.

If i'm Mrazek, I would be hot right now. You have a forward way low there, doing nothing...looks like he wants to screen you for starters, then decides to get stuck between getting out of the way and blocking it and tips it perfectly against the grain for the unearned tally...

Why the hell is Jim Jackson doing the NBC broadcast?

That was a really nice pass by Nyquist. Fun note: Instead of selecting Nyquist, the Pens chose Nathan Moon at 120; Nyquist was 121 in the 2008 Draft.

(Which means everyone else missed out on him too. :P Edit #2 - What a lousy draft that year.)

He must be a regional callup, just like Kenny Albert, Brian Boucher, and Keith Jones are sometimes.

Wonder if he'll sneak in something about the Flyers on the broadcast. He often can't help himself from sneaking in something snide about the Pens during random Flyers broadcasts.

I don't think we've looked too good, but I'll take the 2-1 lead.

I fully expect a comment or twelve. Maybe even a mention of the last playoff series.

Still beats listening to Emrick, though... barely.

Yeah, been much more enjoyable to watch. Detroit's still good at their style of interference, but speed is just fun to watch.

Yay power play.

Quincy gets away interference (as is expected for a Red Wing) and then pushed his luck.
